As the belt passed on item goes over the attractive head pulley, any ferrous metal that is blended in with the item is pulled in and held to the substance of the belt and conveyed to the underside of the transport. After the metal goes out of the attractive field, it is discharged and released into a chute or canister for disposal.The cleaned item, which is unaffected by the attractive field, is released regularly over the pulley away from the tramp metal.
